La Tasa has no accounts, no advertising and no third-party trackers. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts or photos, and we never sell or share data with anyone.
Starting with version 4.0 the app records anonymous usage statistics so we can tell how many people use the app and which features are worth building. This is explained in full below.
When you first open the app, your device generates a random identifier — a string of characters like k3m9x2p1qz7w…. It is created on your device, it is not derived from any hardware identifier, it is not the advertising identifier, and it cannot be linked back to you as a person.
Alongside that identifier we record:
We do not record the numbers you enter into the calculator or the how-to-pay comparison. Those never leave your device.
This information is used only in aggregate, to answer questions like "how many people opened the app yesterday" or "does anyone use the history chart". It is not used for advertising, it is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and it is not shared with or sold to any third party.
If you delete the app the identifier is deleted with it. Reinstalling generates a new, unrelated one.
If you allow notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can send the daily rate updates. It is used for nothing else. Turning notifications off in system settings stops the messages; deleting the app removes the token from our records automatically.
The app caches the most recent rates locally so it can show the last known values when you are offline. That cache stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
On iOS the anonymous identifier is also stored in a shared app group so the widget can report under the same identifier as the app instead of counting as a separate device.
The app and the widget request rates from our API at https://latasa.app. Those requests include what any phone normally sends to any website (IP address, User-Agent) plus the anonymous identifier described above. We do not store IP addresses in our analytics; they appear only in standard infrastructure logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security purposes.
Our API in turn fetches data from public sources:

The app is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13. The anonymous statistics described above are not personal data and are not used to build a profile of any individual.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the same URL with an updated effective date.
